“Joining the Consular Corps College (CCC) was the most prudent decision I made back in 2015 when I first was appointed Honorary Consul. I had no foreign service training and the education provided by CCC has gone beyond my expectations. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I am given access to ambassadors, diplomats, and State Department officials to whom I would have not had access otherwise. The CCC has given me insights into aspects of diplomacy that I wouldn’t necessarily have expected. It’s an amazing organization for people starting out in the foreign service, consular relations and diplomacy. But I also think it can be a refresher for people who have been in diplomacy for a long time, who now may need to learn new methods of communication and thinking.
