The Consular Corps College (CCC) has numerous opportunities for undergraduate and graduate level students with interests in international/diplomatic and consular affairs, association membership services, and event planning.
We offer both full-year and semester internships, as well as short-term fellowships during our Annual Symposium in Washington, DC each November.
In addition to assisting in the day-to-day activities, our interns have the unique opportunity to help create and develop membership outreach campaigns, interface with our members nationwide, participate actively in the planning and preparation of Consular Corps College events, and help manage the running of the Symposium.
While knowledge of a foreign language is a plus, it is not necessary. Those who do speak another language, however, have many opportunities to use and improve their language skills.
Over the length of the internship, students gain and/or polish a broad range of critical business skills, acquaint themselves with the duties and responsibilities of consuls, and learn about planning and executing major events. They work with the foreign consular community, which represents all nations of the world, as well as with officials in the Federal Government. Even Symposium Fellowships provide CCC interns with exceptional opportunities to meet key people in the Federal Government and from around the country and to learn about consular duties.
Based just outside Washington, DC in Bethesda, MD, the office is easily accessible to students from the Washington area colleges and universities by Metro or car. The Symposium events all take place in and around Washington, DC.
